ABOUT THE COLLEGE
- Vallal P.T.Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker College of Arts and Science is an outcome of our great Philanthropist, (Late) Vallal P.T.Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker (1829 – 1874) with the aim of providing education to the poor and downtrodden people besides other social and religious activities. The College is situated in Choolai, Chennai – 112. Surrounded by lush greenery in an area of 8.0 acres, with 35,000 sq. ft building equipped with state of the art facilities like spacious class rooms, library, splendid auditorium, seminar halls, play grounds etc. To ensure the academic standard in all our educational institutions, we have an advisory body consisting of various eminent academicians, industrialists and social activists.

Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker Arts and Science College aims to mould the Students to go out as conscious citizens with concern. The Teaching and learning community should work together to achieve effective and achievable goals. Vallal P.T.Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker Arts and Science College strives to impart quality and holistic education to the students. A creative atmosphere helps the students to think and make their learning effective. Every students ability taken into consideration for him/her to grow in his/her field of capability.
- GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1.The Management reserves the right of admission. In matters of admission, training and discipline the decision of the management shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.
2.Students are forbidden from organizing unions or associations based on colour, creed, language, nationality or political ideology, within the campus.
- GENERAL DISCIPLINE
1.Strict discipline will be maintained in the campus and indiscipline will be punished with warning, suspension or even expulsion from the college.
2.Ragging of any sort is strictly prohibited. Students found guilty of this act liable for severe punishment including dismissal from the college and hostel. The matter will be referred to the police since ragging is a criminal offence.
- ATTENDANCE
1.A Student has to secure a minimum attendance of 75% to be eligible to appear for University examination.
2.Students who absent themselves on medical grounds, should produce a valid medical certificate immediately on reporting after sickness. However, the total attendance should be a minimum of 75% in all such cases to permit the student for the examination.
3.A Student who is continuously absent for 30 days or above without valid reason, his/her name will be struck off from the rolls.
